Introduction

  • The IM-FP288GW is a 10-port managed industrial-grade PoE fiber switch engineered for demanding outdoor and field deployments where commercial switches fail — combining 8 × Gigabit PoE RJ45 ports and 2 × 100/1000/2500M SFP fiber uplinks with a full L2+ managed software feature set, all within an IP40-rated DIN-rail or wall-mount metal enclosure rated for -40°C to +75°C operation.
  • With a 240W total PoE budget and 30W per-port IEEE 802.3af/at output, it simultaneously powers a full complement of IP cameras, wireless APs, VoIP terminals, and access control panels directly over Cat5e/6 — eliminating separate power runs to every field device.
  • The dual 2.5G SFP uplinks provide fiber backbone connectivity at speeds that keep pace with aggregated PoE device traffic, while 6KV Ethernet surge protection, ±15KV ESD air discharge, and ±6KV surge common-mode immunity ensure continuous operation in the electrically hostile environments — factory floors, outdoor cabinets, transportation infrastructure — where this switch is designed to live.
  • A Cisco-style CLI, Web GUI, SNMP v1/v2c/v3, and full VLAN/QoS/STP/LACP feature stack give network administrators the same management depth they expect from enterprise core switches, delivered in an industrial form factor built for the edge.

Key Features

  • 8 × 10/100/1000M PoE RJ45 + 2 × 100/1000/2500M SFP Fiber Uplinks — Full Gigabit auto-sensing copper access with dual multi-rate SFP slots supporting SM (20–120km) and MM (500m–2km) fiber for flexible backbone connectivity
  • 240W Total PoE Budget / 30W Per Port (IEEE 802.3af/at) — Sufficient headroom to simultaneously run 8 ports at full 802.3at load; per-port PoE enable/disable and power management via Web GUI or CLI
  • -40°C to +75°C Operating Temperature — Certified for extreme industrial, outdoor, and transportation environments where commercial switches cannot operate reliably
  • 6KV Ethernet Surge Protection — Protects all RJ45 ports against high-voltage transients from nearby machinery, lightning-induced surges, and outdoor cable runs
  • Industrial EMC Immunity — ESD ±15KV air / ±6KV contact; EFT ±6KV; Surge differential ±2KV / common ±6KV — full IEC 61000-4 series compliance for electrically noisy industrial environments
  • 26Gbps Non-Blocking Switching / 19.344Mpps Forwarding Rate — Wire-speed L2+ forwarding across all 10 ports; <10µs forwarding delay for latency-sensitive control and surveillance traffic
  • Full L2+ Managed Feature Stack:
  • Redundancy: STP / RSTP / MSTP / ITU-T G.8032 Ethernet Protection Ring (EPR) — loop protection and fast-recovery ring topologies for always-on industrial networks
  • VLAN: IEEE 802.1Q, Port VLAN, MAC VLAN, IP Subnet VLAN, Protocol VLAN, VLAN Convert, MVR — full VLAN segmentation for multi-tenant and security-sensitive deployments
  • QoS: CoS / DSCP classification, bandwidth control (ingress/egress), storm suppression, differentiated services — traffic prioritization for mixed PoE device environments
  • Link Aggregation: IEEE 802.3ad LACP dynamic + static — uplink bonding for increased throughput and redundancy
  • Multicast: IGMP/MLD Snooping v1/v2/v3, IGMP filtering, IGMP proxy — efficient multicast management for IP camera and IPTV deployments
  • Security: 802.1X port/MAC authentication, RADIUS, TACACS+, ACL, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, SSH v2
  • Management: Cisco-style CLI, Web GUI, SNMP v1/v2c/v3, Telnet, TFTP/HTTP firmware upgrade with redundancy, RMON, LLDP, NTP/SNTP, DNS, IPv6 management
  • Cable Diagnostics — Locates fault points on copper cables without external test equipment; reduces field troubleshooting time
  • IEEE 802.3az EEE (Energy Efficient Ethernet) — Reduces power consumption on idle ports; lowers operating costs in always-on deployments
  • DIN-Rail / Wall Mounting — Flexible installation in standard industrial cabinets, field enclosures, or direct wall-mount; IP40-rated corrugated metal shell
  • CE / FCC Class B / LVD EN IEC 62368-1 Certified — Global regulatory compliance for commercial and industrial deployment
  • 3-Year Warranty + Lifetime Technical Support

Applications

  • Industrial Automation & Smart Factory Networks — Manages and powers IP cameras, wireless APs, RFID readers, and industrial terminals across factory floors where EMI from motor drives and welding equipment demands Level 3 ESD/surge immunity; VLAN segmentation isolates production control traffic from general IT traffic on the same infrastructure
  • Outdoor Surveillance & Perimeter Security — Powers PTZ cameras, fixed IP cameras, and access control panels in outdoor enclosures across industrial parks, logistics centers, and campus perimeters; 6KV surge protection and -40°C cold-start capability ensure year-round uninterrupted operation in exposed installations
  • Transportation & Railway Infrastructure — ITU-T G.8032 EPR ring support and IEC 61000-4 industrial EMC compliance make the IM-FP288GW a direct fit for trackside cabinets, metro station networks, highway toll systems, and vehicle-mounted applications where ring redundancy and vibration tolerance are mandatory
  • Wireless AP Backhaul Aggregation — Simultaneously powers and connects multiple 802.3at Wi-Fi 6 APs across warehouses, stadiums, campuses, and transit hubs; dual 2.5G SFP uplinks prevent the fiber backbone from becoming a congestion point under high AP density
  • Oil, Gas & Energy Facility Networks — Deployed in substations, pipeline monitoring stations, and remote energy infrastructure where wide-temperature operation, wide-voltage DC input, and industrial surge immunity are non-negotiable for continuous SCADA and protection relay communication
  • Smart Building & Campus Security Systems — Manages IP cameras, access control readers, IP intercoms, and VoIP terminals within a unified building network; IGMP snooping optimizes multicast camera streams, 802.1X enforces per-device authentication, and MSTP prevents loops across multi-floor ring topologies
  • Telecom & ISP Edge PoE Infrastructure — Provides the managed PoE fiber aggregation point for fiber-to-the-building deployments where operators require per-port PoE control, VLAN-per-subscriber isolation, SNMP monitoring, and dual fiber uplink redundancy from a single DIN-rail device
