Introduction

  • The IM-PC111GE addresses a problem that appears at virtually every remote single-device fiber endpoint in a PoE-dependent network: the fiber reaches the location, but the connected device — a camera, an AP, an intercom — has no local power source and needs PoE to operate.
  • The conventional answer is two devices: a media converter for the fiber handoff and a PoE injector for the power. The IM-PC111GE replaces both with one.
  • Combining 1 × Gigabit SFP fiber input and 1 × IEEE 802.3af/at PoE RJ45 output in a single 114 × 93 × 35mm DIN-rail chassis, it simultaneously converts the fiber signal to copper and delivers up to 30W of active 802.3at PoE to the connected endpoint — all from a DC 48V input with no intermediate conversion stage.
  • The result is the minimum viable hardware footprint for a powered single-device fiber endpoint: one device, one DIN-rail slot, one DC power connection, fiber in and a powered copper device out.
  • Backed by 6KV Ethernet surge protection, ±15KV ESD air discharge immunity, full IEC 61000-4 Level 3 EMC certification, and a -40°C to +75°C operating range, the IM-PC111GE brings this simplicity to the harshest field environments without compromise on industrial hardening.

Key Features

  • 1 × 100/1000M SFP Fiber + 1 × 10/100/1000M PoE RJ45 — Fiber Conversion + PoE Delivery in One Unit — The defining capability: a single device performs both the fiber-to-copper media conversion and the IEEE 802.3at PoE power injection that a connected endpoint needs — eliminating the two-device combination of media converter plus PoE injector that would otherwise occupy two DIN-rail slots, two power connections, and two potential failure points at every such location
  • IEEE 802.3af/at PoE on the RJ45 Port (30W maximum) — Automatic PD classification delivers 15.4W (802.3af) or 30W (802.3at) as the connected device requires; non-PoE devices connect safely without risk of damage; dedicated orange PoE LED confirms active power delivery status independently from link state
  • DC 48V Input (max 52V) / Reverse-Connection Protection — Direct integration into 48V DC infrastructure; the same supply that powers the PoE output is the device's operating power — no separate logic supply required; hardware polarity protection tolerates field wiring errors without damage
  • ≤5W Self-Consumption Without PoE Load — Internal converter circuitry draws negligible power; the overwhelming majority of the DC 48V input is passed through to the PoE output for the connected endpoint — no hidden efficiency loss in the conversion chain
  • SM (20–120km) and MM (500m–2km) SFP Support — Full range of industrial SFP modules compatible; BiDi single-fiber modules supported for single-strand deployments; the fiber reach of the upstream network is fully preserved through the IM-PC111GE to the copper endpoint
  • 6KV Ethernet Surge Protection — The RJ45 output port is hardened against high-voltage transients that outdoor copper runs between the converter and the endpoint device are exposed to; protects both the converter and the downstream PoE device from surge events on the copper segment
  • ±15KV ESD Air Discharge / ±6KV EFT / Surge Differential ±2KV / Common ±6KV — Full IEC 61000-4 five-parameter Level 3 industrial EMC immunity; CE-EMC / CE-LVD EN IEC 62368-1 / FCC Class B certified
  • 4Gbps Non-Blocking Fabric / 2.976Mpps / <10µs Forwarding Delay — Wire-speed transparent forwarding between fiber and copper; store-and-forward integrity verification on every frame
  • 6-PIN Industrial Power Terminal Block — Screw-terminal DC connection; permanent panel wiring without barrel connectors or IEC sockets
  • Auto MDI/MDIX / IEEE 802.3x Flow Control — Plug-and-play copper wiring; flow control prevents frame loss under burst conditions from the powered endpoint
  • -40°C to +75°C / IP40 / DIN-Rail or Wall-Mount / 114 × 93 × 35mm / 0.35kg
  • CE / FCC Class B / LVD EN IEC 62368-1 / 3-Year Warranty + Lifetime Technical Support

Applications

  • Remote Single-Camera Fiber Extension with Power — The exact scenario the IM-PC111GE is built for: a surveillance camera is positioned at a location beyond copper reach, fiber has been run to a nearby pole cabinet or junction box, but there is no local AC outlet or DC power tap for a separate PoE injector. The IM-PC111GE mounts in the cabinet, takes DC 48V from the cabinet's existing power rail, converts the fiber to copper, and delivers 30W PoE to the camera — a complete, self-contained powered fiber endpoint in one DIN-rail slot. No injector, no second power feed, no additional cable between two devices in a cabinet where space is already constrained
  • Pole-Top & Street Furniture Single-AP Deployments — Outdoor wireless infrastructure deployments that run fiber to pole-top cabinets for a single Wi-Fi AP per pole use the IM-PC111GE to convert the fiber and power the AP simultaneously from the pole cabinet's 48V supply. The 802.3at 30W output covers dual-radio Wi-Fi 6 APs operating at full transmit power; the 6KV surge protection handles the transient environment of outdoor copper runs from the cabinet to the AP mounting bracket; the compact form factor leaves room in the cabinet for the power supply and fiber termination hardware
  • Subway & Transit Single-Display PIS Nodes — Passenger information system display panels in metro stations, bus shelters, and transit stops connect to the backbone fiber network and require PoE for both data and power. At locations where a single display is installed — a platform end, a stairwell landing, an exit corridor — the IM-PC111GE provides the fiber termination and PoE delivery in one unit, avoiding the two-device installation that a separate media converter and injector would require in the limited space of a transit infrastructure junction box
  • Wind Turbine Individual Sensor Fiber Drops — At wind turbine nacelle-level monitoring points where a single vibration sensor, temperature monitor, or inspection camera connects to the inter-turbine fiber chain, the IM-PC111GE powers and connects the device without requiring a local DC-to-PoE injector inside the nacelle enclosure. The DC 48V input connects to the turbine's existing instrumentation power bus; the ≤5W self-consumption adds negligible load; the -40°C cold-start capability handles nacelle temperatures during winter low-wind periods when no self-heating from turbine operation occurs
  • Pipeline & Remote Infrastructure Single-Point Monitoring — Long-distance pipeline monitoring networks connect IP cameras, gas detectors, and flow measurement devices at isolation valve stations and pump houses along the pipeline route. Each monitoring point sits on the fiber backbone and requires PoE for its local sensor or camera. The IM-PC111GE's wide-temperature operation, industrial EMC hardening, and ability to operate from whatever DC voltage is available at each remote station — 12V solar, 24V RTU bus, or 48V communications supply — make it the most flexible single-point PoE fiber termination device for infrastructure deployments where each site has different power conditions
  • Building Entry & Access Control Fiber Points — In commercial buildings and secure facilities where fiber runs to individual access control points — main entrances, server room doors, secure areas — each point connects one IP camera and one access control reader, both requiring PoE, over a fiber drop from the building riser. Deploying two IM-PC111GE units at each entry point — one per PoE device — uses less DIN-rail space and fewer components than any switch-based alternative, while maintaining the full industrial hardening appropriate for the building's security infrastructure
  • Military & Government Forward Observation Posts — Tactical fiber networks at observation posts and perimeter checkpoints connect single IP cameras or surveillance sensors at each position, with 48V DC supplied from a central power system through the fiber cable run. The IM-PC111GE's unmanaged operation eliminates any configuration requirement or management interface at the observation post itself; its hardened construction meets the physical deployment requirements of field positions; and its single-device simplicity minimizes the hardware a field technician must carry for installation, fault diagnosis, and replacement at remote positions
